Piper in the Woods
Wonderful short story by Philip K Dick about a military base on a distant asteroid where several soldiers are under the influence of a strange entity, known as the Piper in the woods. It seems to have the ability to turn them into plants. The commander is obviously concerned about this new daytime activity!
